sync. LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
"Stand Up, Speak Out" For Teen CONTACT
2010-2011 re-sync. Events
The Mission:
"sync. 2010 leadership program" is a summer leadership program for high school students from Dallas ISD schools and other area schools. For the first summer, registration will be limited to the first 100 students. Each participant will learn how to build leadership skills and assets that they can use in their everyday lives.
Topics such as positive relationships & boundaries, cyberbullying, teen dating violence, alcohol and drug abuse, depression and suicide, media influence, self-image, and leadership development will be introduced in a new format accented with developmental tools to help students through daily stressors.
Students will be assigned to gender specific groups, which allows both males and females to talk freely, peer to peer, about the issue and how it affects them personally.
The Teen CONTACT Program at CONTACT Crisis Line partnered with Dallas ISD Safe and Drug-Free Schools to create a dynamic summer leadership program for Dallas ISD high school students and other districts in our metroplex.
