Passion. If you can search within your heart and inside your soul and find your passion, you can do anything and you will do anything to reach your goals and dreams. Passion has been the word that best describes October here at CONTACT Crisis Line and in the Teen CONTACT Program. Sometimes we need to be broken before we can begin to pick up the pieces to rebuild. The structure has been broken with the leadership of our new Executive Director, Benaye Rodgers, and from there, we are rebuilding. I am very passionate about where we are going, and I ask you to join us as we venture into new areas of technology, new arrangement of staff members, and new visions for the future of CONTACT.

We also supported the Red Ribbon Campaign this month at Texans CAN! Farmers Branch, Rockwall-Heath High School, and the Jubilee Center in Fair Park. This was the first year for Texans CAN! Farmers Branch to support the Red Ribbon Campaign and the stories are too vast for this newsletter…..but we can honestly say that lives were touched and changed as a result of this campaign to fight the war on drugs. Many thanks to Robbie Hamilton, New Friends-New Life, KISS FM, Red Bull, Marshall’s BBQ, and to our donors, especially, Ed & Mary Wall.
